We’re very excited to announce our 1st Annual winter seminar covering all aspects of training for the OH athlete on Sunday, January 8th, 2016 at our facility in Sloatsburg, New York.

Having the opportunity to provide an educational event, as well as being a trusted resource to the baseball community in both Rockland and Bergen counties, is something we do not take lightly. Through a combination of Power Point presentations, practical demonstrations and video analysis, you’ll learn much about how we integrate mobility and strength into one program to help performance enhancement and injury prevention in baseball players.  Over a 3-4 hour period, this completely FREE seminar will cover a wide range of varied topics including:

Seminar Description

This year’s seminar is a well-rounded event focusing on a complete protocol for training ball players. With a heavy focus on mobility and strength training as well as familiarizing participants with the unique demands of the throwing athlete, we’ll help you become more familiar with:

  • middel-image-2Some of the most common injuries (both upper and lower body) faced by today’s throwers
  • Learn about the faulty movement strategies as well as the mechanical disconnects on the mound that help contribute to these issues
  • Mobility techniques as well as mechanical correctives in the weight room, and
  • How mobility and strength training plays, not only into overall year-round arm care, but pitching velocity as well

11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.

  • Common Injuries and their mechanisms (by Debbie Dieter-Barker PT, DPT)

12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

  • Video evaluation of pitchers (by Nunzio Signore, BA, CSCS, NASM)
  • Identifying and fixing mechanical issues in the weight room

1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

  • How mobility and strength training plays not only into arm care, but pitching velocity as well (by Nunzio Signore)

2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

  • Live demonstrations (by RPP Staff)

Our live demonstrations will allow attendees to see in-part, the day-to-day operation of our baseball training programs here at RPP. You will be viewing live training by our professional, college, and high school baseball players as well as observe and learn our approach with:

  • Soft tissue and mobility work
  • Activation and pre-throwing protocols
  • Strength and power development
  • Rotary medicine ball work
