Pitchers – Cleaning Up Hip IR in the Off-Season

After a long season of throwing off of a mound, internal rotation of the lead leg can get really cranky. Not unlike t-spine mobility, hip IR is essential to create a smooth deceleration path. If the hip closes too early upon foot strike, the arm can open up early, causing it to come around late as well as creating damaging forces on the shoulder and elbow.
