Improving Speed in the Frontal Plane Using the Lateral RSI

Improving Speed in the Frontal Plane Using the Lateral RSI

This comprehensive 3-part webinar provides you with a thorough understanding of testing and training speed and ultimately performance in the frontal (lateral) plane using the Lateral RSI Test, in conjunction with plyometric training and programming.

Training to get more reactive in the frontal plane can go a long way in putting another essential tool in your tool box.  Whether it be getting quicker in the stretch, change-of-direction speed or first step quickness on the field, this ultimately brings us to the concept of Reactive Strength and how you test and train for it.

To better produce power, faster more velocity-based (elastic) athletes rely more on stretching their muscles and tendons quickly to make better use of the stretch shortening cycle than they do using muscular contraction. This requires very specific types of plyometric training. But for the force-based (strength) athletes who like to load slower in order to maximize power mostly from muscular contractions, the lack of elasticity makes utilizing the stretch-shortening cycle a bit more difficult. For these athletes a completely different set of plyometrics come into play.

Whether you’re a force-based (strength) or velocity-based (elastic) athlete this webinar will describe how to test and ultimately train the specific qualities you need to achieve your maximum potential.

Who is This For?

This webinar is for coaches, players, academies, professional ball players and anyone and everyone who wants to get involved with training pitchers using data analytics. It reduces the science to basic English and helps understand the power of training along the Reactive Strength Index utilizing video demonstration and programming tips.

Testimonials

“With Nunzio’s Lateral RSI Webinar, he has taken a complex piece of the pitching puzzle and has distilled it down to a methodical and structured developmental framework applicable to any pitcher looking for an edge when it comes to their training. Using technology and data-driven feedback in player development is a burgeoning frontier, and Nunzio has firmly established himself among those on the forefront.”

    • Evan Short – Toronto Blue Jays Player Development and Performance Analyst

“I heard Nunzio speak at this past year’s Pitch-a-Palooza and was very impressed. He did a great job speaking on the topic of testing and training pitchers to move faster. The info he provided was flowing faster than my note taking skills so I’m very happy to see this topic take shape in webinar form and can’t wait to share it with the great Strength & Conditioning staff here at Mizzou.  All High School and Collegiate training staffs will love the content. Thanks Nunzio!”

    • Fred Corral – University of Missouri Baseball Pitching Coach

“Nunzio and his team at RPP have put together an awesome webinar on lateral movement training and how it directly correlates to baseball movements. This webinar is easy to follow and gives a first hand look in how they test athletes and how to create a proper program for effective strength training. Well worth the time and investment to check out Nunzio and RPP!”
