After two years of dedicated training at RPP Baseball, the Ellis brothers, Oliver and Dex, finally have the chance to play together this spring on the Columbia High School varsity team, with Dex joining as a freshman. They’re off to a strong start, posting ERAs of 1.45 and 1.75, respectively.
Oliver Ellis
Fairleigh Dickinson commit and senior RHP Oliver Ellis is off to an impressive start this season, topping 89 mph on the mound. Over the past two years, his offseason work has led to a weight gain of more than 30 pounds, going from 144 to 175 lbs., giving him a stronger, more physical presence and improved durability. The results are showing, as he’s opened the spring in dominant form.

Dex Ellis
Younger brother Dex Ellis, a freshman, is already turning heads with a rare blend of youth and power, touching 90 mph on the mound. His rapid development is backed by significant gains during his most recent offseason training at RPP. With elite velocity at such a young age and a frame that continues to develop, Dex is quickly establishing himself as one of the most dominant young arms in the region. Weighing in at 175 lbs., he is ranked 2nd and 21st as a RHP, in New Jersey and nationally by Perfect Game.

Keep up the hard work boys!
