David came to the Gators from Florida Atlantic, where he spent 4 seasons as the Owls pitching coach and recruiting coordinator. Prior to FAU, he served as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Florida Southern, after a short stint at his alma mater Clemson.
David is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in sports management. While playing there, he powered the Tigers to 3 NCAA Super Regional appearances, one ACC Championship and one NCAA College World Series appearance.
After the 2007 season, he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2nd round of the MLB Draft. He wrapped up his professional career in 2014 after pitching for 8 seasons in the Minor Leagues.
