Today, we’re sitting down with Coach Jeremy Sheetinger, head baseball coach at Georgia Gwinnett (“GG”). I met Coach Sheets years ago at a conference, where we were both presenting. To put it mildly, he is Mr. Positivity which I absolutely love. In a world, where it’s easy to be negative and many are, Coach Sheets always focuses on the positives which is the underlying theme of this podcast.
Coach Sheets has been with GG since 2020 and in 2021, he led his team to the 2021 NAIA World Series title, marking the program’s first national championship. He was named the Skip Bertman National Coach of the Year from the Collegiate Baseball Foundation. Prior to GG, Coach Sheets was with ABCA from 2016-19. He was responsible for communications and relationship building within college coaches and helped facilitate a 200-percent growth rate in ABCA membership. He has also served as an associate scout for the Atlanta Braves since 2015.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in fitness and sport management from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 2004. He also earned a Master of Business Management from Brescia University in 2007 and a Master of Kinesiology at the University of Kentucky in 2009.
