Interview with NC State Pitching Coach Scott Foxhall

Today my interview is with Pitching Coach Scott Foxhall at North Carolina State, one of the top baseball programs in the country.   I had the pleasure of meeting him recently at the Inside Baseball Coaches Clinic in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.  In 18 years as a collegiate coach, Coach Foxhall has seen 33 of his pitchers selected in the MLB Draft, including seven in the first 10 rounds.  He is the real deal.

Creating Dynamic Core Stability at Foot Strike

Avoiding energy leaks in the delivery is what it’s all about in regards to not only increasing velocity but reducing your risk of injury. In the case of young athletes who are still growing or pitchers with laxity (loose joints), from my experience the core seems to be the most common site where these leaks occur.
